A program tells GainGames which workout comes next. Once one is active, the Home tab shows today’s workout and you start it with one tap.
Start from a starter program
Pick a starter program to get a full program in one tap.
The quickest way in is a starter program. Each one comes with its routines already built.
- On Home, tap Choose a Program. Or open the Programming tab and make sure Programs is selected at the top.
- Tap Browse starter programs. If you already have a program, it sits at the end of your list.
- The Pick a starter program list opens. You can pick from Push / Pull / Legs (3-day or 6-day), Upper / Lower (4-day), Full Body (3-day) and Bro Split (5-day). Each card lists its workouts and how many exercises each one has.
- Tap the one you want. The app asks you to confirm, for example Apply Push / Pull / Legs (3-day)?, and tells you it will add the starter program’s routines to your library.
- Tap Apply.
The program is now active, and its workouts appear on the Routines list in the Programming tab. You can edit them like any routine you made yourself.
Build your own
A program is a cycle of days, each with a routine or a rest day.
- On Programming, under Programs, tap New (or New Program if you have none yet). A program called My Program opens.
- Tap the name at the top to rename it.
- Tap a day to choose what happens on it. Pick a routine, or Rest Day. If you haven’t built a routine yet, the app sends you to Go to Routines first.
- Tap Add Day to Cycle if your cycle needs more days.
- Tap Set Active.
Only one program can be active at a time. Setting a new one active replaces the old one.
Start today’s workout
- Go back to Home. The TODAY card shows the workout that’s up next.
- Tap Start Workout.
On a rest day the card says Rest Day and shows what’s next. You can still tap Train anyway. If you can’t train today, tap Move to tomorrow. Today becomes a rest day and your training days each move one day later. You can tap Undo the same day.
Today’s workout is always the next one you haven’t done this round, so missing a day never skips a workout. It just waits for you.
